One of our subtopics should be survivors of the camps. Maybe we could do them on people who heard about, and their reaction to the concentration camps, but i dont know if that is really related to our topic.

I think that is a good idea to do thise topics for the project. I am still ot sure what age group we are doing it for. I think we should do it for the middle schoolers so that we can actually right in detail about the events that happened during the Holocaust. Sorry i have not been blogging.

After careful consideration, I'm going to make an executive decision. the topic of our documentary will be concentration camps. This decision can be overwritten only by Mrs. Lathrope , me, or four group members.

Concentration Camps for our Topic

I was thinking that the topic could be concentration camps, because we are looking at holocaust books now in mrs. lathrope's class and there is a lot of good information about the holocaust. You all have 37 hours until I make a decision. Please voice  your opinion and state why you think your topic would be good.

Timeline

hey everyone I have a suggestion. in our documentary, i feel like it would be convenient to have a timeline of key events during the Holocaust, kinda like what Mrs. Lathrope did today. The timeline would create a great outline and idea of what time frame our project would be based on.

Basic Holocaust research

Everyone should be doing some basic holocaust research so we have ground to stand on when we get going. Be sure to remember the book so you can later cite it. In 48 hours I will make an executive decision on what the topic we are doing, based on feedback I have received from you. If you want your opinion to be heard, please speak up within 48 hours.

I'm thinking that the topic of our documentary should be "The 'Why' of the Holocaust"-in the documentary we could talk about why it happened. I think that this would be a good topic because I never really knew anything about the motives behind the holocaust, and so I'm assuming that that might be the case with a bunch of other people.

I think i am good at finding information and researching. I could look for info on our topics.

For the survivors, there were many teen survivors. I skimmed through a book and it said:

• there were many non- jewish teens and adults who helped jews in camps escape
• teens joined partisans and resisters
• also many of the teens hid in the concentration camp and from the Nazis and escaped

I think we should do just one or two important topics for our documentary. Maybe we could focus on what happened in the concentration camps, and who survived, and how they survived. It would be easier to focus on a few main things and getting lots of info on it, then getting a little info on a lot o f topics.

Audience Target

I'm thinking that it would probably best to have our target audience be elementary school and middle school kids, just so we could keep things simple and we wouldn't have to get that intricate in an attempt to attract an audience of higher level.
